VOLUNTEER’S MARKET – 30TH MAY

On Thursday 30th May – there will be a big volunteer’s market held in Sutton Marketplace – and Takeover will be there to broadcast live, talk to people, and make some noise!!!

Ashfield Voluntary Action are organising the day – and if you work with a charity or voluntary group – this is how you can get hold of a stall to tell people about what you do:

SATURDAY 20TH APRIL – A BIG DAY FOR THE STAGS… AND TAKEOVER!

This Saturday… a big day on Takeover 106.9 as we get ready for The Stags to celebrate being champions (if the results go the right way of course!). 

From 8 in the morning the build-up begins with Stoney and special guests including former Mansfield Town players, all the way through to a special afternoon show with Stoney and DJ Cal who start the party early to get you in the mood for a match to remember. 

Join Craig Priest live from 4pm at the One Call Stadium as he takes you through all the twists and turns of what could be a historic game…

Tim Bell will be on air after the match to keep the party going…

And from 10 to Midnight, MC Timma T presents Urban Takeover, so keep it tuned, keep it loud, keep it on Takeover all day this Saturday!!!

NEW BREAKFAST AND AFTERNOON PRESENTERS NEEDED!

If you’re interested in presenting your own show on Takeover, we are looking for a new breakfast show presenter, and there are also a couple of midweek afternoon shows that need presenters!

EXCITING CHANCE FOR MUSICIANS TO GET FREE STUDIO TIME AND RELEASE A RECORD!

Takeover 106.9 has been asked by Nottinghamshire County Council to organise an exciting new project for Ashfield musicians, as part of it’s ‘Enterprising Ashfield’ scheme which is giving a boost to local creative businesses and artists.

Beginning in March 2013, we have 10x 1 day recording sessions available in the Outram Street Studios in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This will give 10 bands or musicians the chance to record a top quality demo track, and possibly a few more tracks for broadcast as a session on Takeover.

The 10 acts will be shortlisted to 5 to take forward for an EP release, a series of live shows, the chance to film a performance video and get professional press shots, and the opportunity to join workshops aimed at developing a professional career in music – building up to an open-air event in Sutton’s Portland Square on Saturday May  18th, and an end-of-project gig and party that evening.
